Thalia Martinez-Palma is a Law Clerk at Cabanillas & Associates. Her practice focuses mainly on complex immigration matters. Thalia passed the July 2022 New York Bar Exam and is pending admission to both the New York and New Jersey Bar.
A graduate of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, Thalia graduated cum laude and was a member of the editorial board of the Pace International Law Review. She served as a judicial intern in the Supreme Court of the State of New York to the Hon. Lourdes A. Ventura. While in law school, Thalia volunteered with the Immigration Justice Clinic at Pace University as a student attorney and appeared before the Rockland County Family Court and Immigration Court. Thalia also worked as an intern for Kids in Need of Defense, a non-profit that advocates for children in Asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases. Prior to law school, Thalia worked as a paralegal in a real estate firm.
Thalia is Guatemalan-American and fluent in both English and Spanish who is dedicated to serving underrepresented communities.
